In 1989 Comfab Racing began competing in The Finke Desert Race, an off road, multi-terrain two-day race from Alice Springs to the small Aputula (Finke) community. For 10 years Comfab Racing participated in the yearly event, racing a bike, until introducing the Comfab Suzuki Hayabusa powered Alumicraft buggy in 2001. With Finke having the reputation of being one of the most difficult off road courses Comfab Racing boasts a 100% finish rate.
